Culture Agency Supports Artists Who are Productive Amid Pandemic

This assistance is distributed not only because of Ramadan month, but it also one of Government's concerns to artists in Jakarta because their profession is one of the most affected by COVID-19 pandemic.

"Because art performance and art activities are limited, their income has decreased. Although they keep working at home because of PPKM, on the other hand, they have no more income because they can't carry out performance outside," he explained.

This staple food assistance, he continued, aimed to strengthen relationship between Jakarta Culture Agency and artists in Jakarta.

"This assistance is also given in form of our longing for them. In order to maintain our relationship, we provide them assistance and hopefully it can be useful," he said.
