City will Distribute Staple Food Assistance for Thousands Artist

Jakarta Government through Culture Agency will distribute assistance in form of staple food packages to thousands artists in Jakarta who experience the impact of COVID-19 pandemic.
There are 3,037 packages
Jakarta Culture Agency Head, Iwan Henry Wardhana conveyed, assistance will be given to artists who work at art studios, as well as traditional and modern artists in all regions of Jakarta.
"There are 3,037 packages containing of rice, instant noodles, biscuits, flour, sugar, sardines, soy sauce, sweetened condensed milk, and packaged chicken curry that will be distributed from next Monday to each sub-agencies and management units," he conveyed, Friday (4/30).
Culture Agency Supports Artists Who are Productive Amid PandemicThis assistance is distributed not only because of Ramadan month, but it also one of Government's concerns to artists in Jakarta because their profession is one of the most affected by COVID-19 pandemic.
"Because art performance and art activities are limited, their income has decreased. Although they keep working at home because of PPKM, on the other hand, they have no more income because they can't carry out performance outside," he explained.
This staple food assistance, he continued, aimed to strengthen relationship between Jakarta Culture Agency and artists in Jakarta.
"This assistance is also given in form of our longing for them. In order to maintain our relationship, we provide them assistance and hopefully it can be useful," he said.
